The Sony BDP-BX57 Wi-Fi is a 3D ready 3D Blu-ray player.  Out of the box it tells you that a free software upgrade will allow it to read 3D Blu-rays in the future.

Like most Blu-ray players, you can watch movies in resolution as high as 1080p.  DVD upconversion allows you to watch regular DVD’s at near HD quality.

The Sony BDP-BX57 Wi-Fi also produces high quality sound with outputs for Dolby TrueHD bitstream and dts HD outputs.

Parental controls allow parents to keep their children from watching undesired content.

You can watch video content from your computer thanks to built in wi-fi and  BRAVIA Internet Video.
